Catastrophic, by Dustin Stevens

4.5 stars

This is not an apocalypse story.  Not quite even a medical thriller (which I also enjoy).  This is more of a court room drama / action story.

I like the way Stevens writes though, and stayed up way too late a couple of nights in a row because I didn’t want to put the book down.

There are a few word and apostrophe errors, but certainly nothing that bothered me.

On the plus side, there aren’t any loose ends, and Stevens keeps things moving.  By 30% through, I was thinking that the author had already exposed so much and wondering how he would fill the rest of the pages.  But he did, and it was interesting.  The story line and characters develop well, and although the outcome of the case might be foreseeable, the story is not over until the end.

I enjoyed this, and I’ll certainly have a look at some more of Stevens’ work.
